For us, tea is much more than a drink to begin our day with. It's an integral part of our culture and everyday life. If you just take a walk on Indian roads, you will definitely find Chaiwallahs (tea seller) steaming up the hot tea to their customers.
History-
Tea was first consumed in India for medical purpose back in 500 B.C. The culture became popular mainly because of the British. They introduced Indians to drinking tea, Indians altered that recipe by adding spices to create a popular MASALA CHAI.
All About Tea-
Tea is considered as an ideal drink for many occasions in India. It's the perfect way to enjoy monsoon, comforting cup in winter and soothing drink in summer. Tea is known to stimulate the sense and refresh the mind and body. Thus, consumed before big meetings, on a bad day, and to make your good day even better.
Tea is also a perfect way to greet guests at home along with some snacks in India. It has become a sign of hospitality and builds connections like no other form of a drink can. Let it be your first date, meeting with friends, office colleagues for tea breaks, tea time is associated with an idea of stopping every activity to take a moment to sip a Masala Chai and have a small chat.
Chai is surely a drink that can build new relationships and reconnect old ones.
